Crafting a CDMO Trade Show Strategy for CPHI Worldwide

When Kindeva Drug Delivery needed to make a powerful statement at CPHI Worldwide in Milan, they turned to SCORR Marketing. With a mission to showcase their comprehensive CDMO capabilities, Kindeva required a strategic approach that would not just attract attention but also highlight their leadership as the first CDMO with a fully Annex 1 compliant facility and commercialization of green propellants.

THE CHALLENGE

Kindeva needed to continue raising awareness and make their mark as a top CDMO in a crowded exhibition space with over 2,400 exhibiting companies and 62,000 attendees.  

The trade show presented multiple strategic imperatives: 

  • Attract and engage high-value prospects through an innovative booth design for a 23×69 space 
  • Showcase Kindeva’s key business units, with a particular emphasis on their new aseptic injectable fill-finish facility and green propellant capabilities 
  • Create an immersive experience that would enable meaningful business conversations 
  • Engage prospective clients and partners with a VIP event

With only moments to make an impression, Kindeva required a booth that could tell their complex story quickly, memorably, and persuasively. 

THE SOLUTION

SCORR Marketing crafted a comprehensive booth design strategy that transformed Kindeva’s trade show presence into a powerful storytelling platform. The approach centered on creating an immersive environment with an open, future-forward design that would guide conversations and capture potential clients’ attention. 

A high-impact tour video brought Kindeva’s new facility directly to prospects. This innovative approach allowed potential partners to virtually explore Kindeva’s capabilities and state-of-the-art aseptic fill-finish technology before engaging in deeper conversations. Integrating the monitor into the flooring allowed guests to interact directly with the facility plans while walking over them, creating an immersive experience.

Interactive displays for each business unit were included, using a chevron shape to tie back to Kindeva’s branding and draw attention. These displays included a full library of content assets, which visitors could explore and send directly to themselves via a web-based application. The business development team also used the displays as sales tools to share relevant content and facilitate follow-up conversations. The booth also included strategically designed feature walls, which included engaging video content that highlighted Kindeva’s two priority initiatives while drawing in foot traffic.

The overall booth design was open, using light and strategic graphic placement to create energy and interest. By keeping graphics minimal, SCORR ensured that videos and screens would tell Kindeva’s story most effectively. The booth stood out through a unique clean, white look, and a hanging sign could be seen from across the show floor. 

An activity tying in the human element of Kindeva’s brand was carefully integrated to relate back to their tagline: Manufacturing More Tomorrows. Visitors could place a token to represent someone in their lives that uses Kindeva’s products: themselves, a family member, a friend, or a colleague.  

SCORR planned an in-booth networking social for a VIP event. To maintain a clean and professional feel, the theme was minimal, with thoughtful ties to Milanese culture and the Italian tradition of aperitivo. Guests were served small bites with drinks and had the opportunity to win a vintage bottle of wine. Additionally, custom napkins shared key facts about Kindeva’s capabilities in a unique and memorable way.

THE OUTCOME

The CPHI Milan booth exceeded Kindeva’s objectives, with 10 open proposals from the show. The event also generated significant visibility and elevated perception of the brand. The innovative booth design and strategic approach created a memorable presence that attracted prospects, engaged customers, and sparked meaningful conversations about Kindeva’s CDMO capabilities. The design and execution demonstrated SCORR’s ability to create impactful trade show experiences that drive business development and brand awareness.
