Theorem’s John Potthoff to Present on CRO/Sponsor Relationship Development at DIA
(King of Prussia, PA; June 2, 2015) — Theorem Clinical Research, a leading global contract research organization (CRO) that optimizes trial conduct, will exhibit at the Drug Information Association (DIA) 2015 51st Annual Meeting. John Potthoff, Ph.D., Theorem president and CEO, will present during the symposium, “Innovations in Strategic Alliances and Overcoming Obstacles,” from 9 to 10:30 a.m. June 18, in room 150A, Level One North.
During the symposium, Potthoff will make the first of three presentations, “Developing and Implementing Innovative Solutions to Obstacles in the CRO/Sponsor Relationship,” drawing on his extensive experience as a leader at several CROs. The presentations will feature case studies that delve into the prevalent challenges in sponsor/CRO relationships, and how they can be addressed.
“Relationship models between sponsors and CROs — and even with extended third-party vendors — are changing rapidly,” said Potthoff. “Both sides are pushing for tighter integration and more transparent partnerships, but these efforts are leading to questions about shared risk agreements and accountability in vendor oversight. In this session, we will offer insight that will be valuable to both sponsors and CROs.”
Potthoff has authored numerous articles and presentations on the shifting roles of CROs as research becomes more complex. Beyond his work in facilitating relationships with sponsors, Potthoff has led Theorem through the development of several strategic alliances with diverse companies operating nationally and globally.
