SCORR Wins Two PRSA Anvil Awards and a Silver Davey Award
SCORR Marketing ended a great year with two Awards of Excellence in the 2012 Anvil Awards competition of the Nebraska Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and a Silver Award from the 2012 International Davey Awards.
“It is gratifying to be recognized by our peers for doing breakout work,” said SCORR President Cinda Orr. “People often think that all the most creative work in advertising only comes out of the biggest cities, but we’re here to prove that it’s not necessarily so.”
SCORR won a PRSA Award of Excellence for work it did on behalf of client Theorem Clinical Research for the 2012 Drug Industry Association show and convention in Philadelphia. Unified with the theme “Think Theorem,” the campaign included a new trade show booth, website and collateral materials in addition to a live appearance by an actor portraying French sculptor Auguste Rodin’s famous work, The Thinker. An advertising series in the same “Think Theorem” campaign won SCORR a Silver Award in the business-to-business category of the Davey Awards.
SCORR won a second PRSA Award of Excellence for its creativity when it hosted a Kearney Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event. A celebration of SCORR’s extensive remodeling of its headquarters, the party was themed after the popular AMC television show, “Mad Men,” about a 1960s Madison Avenue ad agency. Visitors were encouraged to come in 1960s attire and to pose for the camera with props like martini glasses and cigarette holders.
PRSA is the world’s largest organization of public relations professionals, and more than 175 members from nonprofit, agency, corporate and government entities belong to the Nebraska chapter. With nearly 4,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from smaller agencies and companies worldwide.
