Life Science Marketing Executive Michelle Dockhorn Joins SCORR Marketing
Michelle Dockhorn, MBA, Ph.D., an executive with extensive marketing and business development leadership experience specific to the life science industry, has joined SCORR Marketing as vice president of global markets.
Dockhorn brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role, helping SCORR expand its services globally to clients in the drug development services industry.
“Michelle has worked with organizations around the world, from startups to some of the biggest companies in this industry,” said SCORR President and CEO Cinda Orr. “By applying her vast experience, she has helped them build dynamic marketing programs, increase their sales and grow their businesses.
“Michelle understands the complexities of the drug development services industry, and our clients will find her knowledge and experience to be a great resource,” Orr added. “With the addition of Michelle to our team, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to providing clients with superior marketing services to build and strengthen their businesses.”
Dockhorn began her career in drug development with the National Medical Research Corporation (now SciRex), in the areas of data management, statistics, medical writing and quality assurance. She then worked as a clinical scientist for Bristol-Myers Squibb before joining PRA International, where she eventually became vice president of global business development.
Over the past seven years, Dockhorn has served as an executive consultant, primarily in marketing, sales and business development roles, for several companies in the drug development services industry, including Focus Bio-Inova, Nextrials, Logical Therapeutics, CR Inc. and Trio Clinical Research, which has since become a part of Aptiv Solutions.
In addition to her industry experience, Dockhorn was an assistant professor of marketing at Rockhurst University in Kansas City from 2007 to 2010, and continues as an adjunct professor in the university’s executive MBA program.
Dockhorn holds a bachelor’s degree in biology, master’s and doctorate degrees in psychology with a neurobiology concentration and a master’s degree in business administration.
