Job Creation to be Discussed at Bio Nebraska Annual Meeting April 16


Todd Johnson, who has worked in job creation activities globally for Gallup Corporation, will be the guest speaker at the Bio Nebraska Life Sciences Association annual meeting April 16.

Bio Nebraska, an advocacy and education organization focused on the state’s growing life science industry, will hold its annual meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. April 16 at Gallup’s Omaha campus, 1001 Gallup Drive. Bio Nebraska represents member organizations while promoting academic, industry and government partnerships to foster the growth of life sciences in the state.

Also during the meeting, Gov. Dave Heineman will present the 2013 Governor’s Bioscience Award, which is awarded annually to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the bioscience industry in Nebraska through innovation, public policy, investment, business creation or leadership. GeneSeek founders Abe Oommen and Dr. Daniel Pomp were the recipients of the 2012 award.
