Gyros AB, a pioneer in miniaturizing and automating immunoassays at nanoliter-scale, is showcasing its new Gyrolab xPlore at the Society of Toxicology 54th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo™ (SOT) in San Diego, Calif., March 22 to 26.

Gyros’ new system Gyrolab xPlore is a smaller version of the widely used five-CD Gyrolab™ xP workstation. Gyrolab xPlore is a more compact, cost-effective, single-CD system that makes automated nanoliter-scale immunoassays accessible to laboratories of every size. By eliminating incubations and shortening run times, Gyros’ open platforms simplify assay workflows. Gyros’ technology delivers high-quality data with broad dynamic ranges and excellent reproducibility while dramatically reducing sample consumption.

Analytically validated biomarker kits are available from EMD Millipore, and Gyrolab xPlore users can choose from a selection of currently available assays or work with the EMD Millipore custom assay team for specific needs (customassay@emdmillipore.com). Recently released assays include GyroMark™ HT Rat/Mouse Cystatin C, Rat Lipocalin-2/NGAL and Rat β2-Microglobulin assays.

“With Gyros’ technology, assays can be developed quickly in a variety of matrices, and customers have full flexibility in choosing an assay format,” said Dan Calvo, president and CEO of Gyros. “EMD Millipore’s validated biomarker kits give our users easy access to high-quality, sensitive assays that require very small sample volumes.”

Gyros is showcasing Gyrolab xPlore and GyroMark HT Kits in Booth 1044 at SOT and is presenting “Automated Microsampling at Nanoliter-Scale: Improving Your 3R Strategies for Bioanalysis” in Room 22 at 4:45-5:45 p.m. Monday, March 23. To see Gyrolab xPlore in action, visit www.gyros.com.
